Terms of Service
By downloading or using Language Learner (the “Application”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Application for personal language study on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Google Play’s terms.
Educational tool only
Language Learner is a study aid. Spaced-repetition schedules, adaptive question modes, templates, conversation drills, and statistics are helpers only. They do not guarantee fluency, exam results, or correctness of translations you enter or import. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your learning content.
Your data and backups
You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter and for creating backups if you need them. Unencrypted exports, backups, and imported PDFs may contain personal notes. Store them securely.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Application, including attempts to reverse engineer, disrupt services, or use it in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party terms of service. Do not use the Application to store or distribute unlawful content.
Premium / purchases
Optional Premium features may be offered as a one-time in-app product through Google Play Billing
(product id unlock_premium_features). Purchases, refunds, promo/gift codes, and restore flows
are handled by Google Play under Google’s policies. Premium features may change over time as the
Application evolves.
Reminders and TTS
Notifications depend on device settings, battery optimizations, and operating-system alarm permissions. Text-to-speech quality depends on the device TTS engine and language packs. The Application cannot guarantee delivery of every reminder or perfect pronunciation under all device conditions.
Third-party services
The Application may use Google Play Billing for purchases and distribution. Availability and terms of those services are controlled by Google.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Application is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Application or from missed reminders.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms published at https://pfyblick.ch/languagelearner/terms.html.
